Need some opinions on CM colors

Alright so i know there are other threads about colors cobos but i cant decide want colors to go with on my CM, and i know in the end it will be what i like but i just wanted to hear from you guys and girls that have the new cm sitting in there driveway, the colors on miniusa website just cant justify what it would look like in real life So with that said my 1st option would be white with black top, black rims, sport strips black jcw aero kit and do the joey mod to the headlights. 2nd opition all black black rims joey mod headlights and jcw aero kit might be too much black and 3rd option would be true blue with black top, black rims, maybe sport strips black joey mod headlights ( kind of like GeoffreyM trueblue mini ) not trying to copy anyone his is really sweet. So just some ideas as i wait to order mine thanks everyone.

Definitely check out the colors in person at a dealer before you order. I had dismissed the Surf Blue as too dark on the website, but when I saw it in person, I was immediately sold. It's gorgeous.

I'm starting to feel about Color (Colour) Posts the way Joan felt about wire hangers.

That said - white and black are not colors. They're kind of like place holder in the spectrum until a real color comes along.

True Blue is spiffy - lots (and lots) of TB here.

But, if you want to make a statement, there's only one way to go and that's with Pure Red (which is really kind of Orange). White or Black top - don't matter.

In reality - get thee to a MINI dealer. This vehicle comes from Austria and they paint things a bit differently there. You cannot make a decision from paint chips, on line pictures, configurator, or heresay. You got to go look and look several times in different light - inside, outside, cloudy, sunny, rain, etc. This is your decision and everything else is opinion.

Good luck and Happy Motoring!

Interesting look at it very well put Sealy, i plan on going to the dealer to see if they have any other colors in yet, and I'am not getting into the pure red ( really orange ) Controversy but that is an very good color thanks for your input it is appreciated

Yep, definitely see the colors in person. We had decided on a certain color and then saw them in person and changed our minds immediately. Went with a color we don't normally consider because it looked so good.

I think that Cosmic Blue is a very sharp color. Almost too dark, if you don't like keeping dark colors clean. But see if you can get a real-world look at one.

But I had my heart set on red - or is that orange?!?!? And I'm getting out of a blue car now, and wanted something different.

I was going to go Surf blue all the way. The first time I went to the dealer it was in the evening and had gotten dark. I saw surf blue and I kind of liked it. The next time I went there during day time he told me both the surf blues were sold. But he showed me the sample and when I compared it to the others., it looked very matte.

On the lot was a Royal Grey with a white top and that really looked nice in that light. So I pulled the plug on Surf blue and ordered Royal Grey and just to make it aggressive went with a black top, black mirrors and black bonnet stripes.

Now I am thinking may be the black bonnet stripes, they might just blend into the color and am currently re-thinking my decision.

So what I am trying to say is, you might as well go to the dealer with an open mind about colors and then pick something that makes you do the turnaround for a second look. Because even after you pick you will agonize over the other colors and choices. just too many options to frigging pick from.

I agree that you really have to see them. But, of course with so few CM's at the dealerships, it is difficult.

DH and I had studied many pictures and were in love with Royal Grey. Saw it in person at the dealership and it just didn't click for us. There was a family taking delivery of Light White/Black combo CM and it was love at first sight. Unusual because white is usually not our thing -- this will be the first white vehicle either of us have ever owned! It was very fortunate for us that they happened to be taking delivery while we were there.

We realize this will be a popular color combo, but there are very few MINI's where we live so it's not like we'll "meet ourselves" on the road all the time. Plus, you've got to make yourself happy first and foremost.

I need to put in a plug for Cosmic Blue with a matching top. I put a blackjack on the roof glass and it looks really good. At night it looks black.

Wife has cosmic blue with cosmic blue top, black wheels and it looks awesome. Of course it's darker at night like black but when the sun hits it the metal flake really pops and in some lights it could look like a dark purple. Somebody I know says it looks better than black; meaner looking than a Porsche Cayenne.

This is why I went with Cosmic Blue. Super classy, like black, but with some extra pop. Was also considering Oxford Green (very close second) and surf blue.

Pure Red + Black Top

I love red--almost all my cars have been red, so I went with Pure Red. It does look a bit orangish, depending on the light. But I love my Countryman--I got Pure Red with black roof, chrome side mirrors & chrome accents, black stripes, and 18" anthracite wheels.
