Well, addiction was (and always is) high after my last trip to Nürburgring in November. So I thought I'd take care of it

I went on a trackday (or rather: weekend) to the north.

Looks like SCDA's winter driving in NHMP. Wanted to go but did not have enough time.

Second DE weekend of '11 coming up this weekend.

There is no waiting in Texas! Well, I might not do a DE this coming August.

But the Mini is fun on the ice. Not fast, but pretty fun
We had a hot lap competition, and I actually took a couple of AWD cars with similar tyres. Just by driving as clean as possible, maybe putting the tail out a little to line up for the straights. It's amazing to be able to control a FWD like that, I'-m really surprised of how well balanced the Mini can be. But it took me at least a day to get into it, very different compared to driving on dry asphalt. If you look closely at the pic, you can see that the intercooler is stuffed with snow, how come do you think?

You guys living in the South are lucky. I spend the winters just waiting, waiting...... and then waiting some more. But then when the season starts you really appreciate it!

Yes sir. This is at the Miller Motorsports Park. I grew up in Portland, have been to PIR many times, been to Laguna Seca, but Miller has to be one of the best tracks/ facilities I have ever been on. Lots of great local events as well.

Cool, that must be one of the most beautifully located tracks ever!

It looks like a fun track, too bad it's too far away. And also the Atlantic ocean in between :D

It's a small dream I have, transporting my car to the US and trying out some tracks like Miller and Laguna Seca! Well, a man can always dream!

But I'm not too far away from my favorite track, Nürburgring Nordschleife :D
