which plate holder???

Want to order one of these... I like the black one because you don't have to buy different brackets to move the plate around... but wonder which one people have been buying???

A:

B:

Someone on here has the Gominigo holder and likes it. It looks like it is more "thought out" than the Minimania unit. The formed bracket on the Gominigo may bring it in closer to the bumper. On the Minimania, they say it can be quickly removed - in my neighborhood, that is not a selling point. Also, the one review on their standard Mini unit is not all that positive. They both strike me as way overpriced - but from what I've seen, that's pretty much standard - I'll be going with Gominigo, my own self.

I'm going with "none" until I see if I get hassled by "the man."

Thumbs up GoMiniGo No Holes Front License Plate Holder

I Have the GoMiniGo No Holes Front License Plate Holder, and it works great. It also looks like it sort of curves around the bumper and it is very sturdy. I highly recommend it!
I also just added some pictures of Lisbeth (my Countryman) into the Gallery, and one of them shows the GoMiniGo no holes license plate holder. The picture was taken the same day it was installed, before I got my personalized plates swapped over to Lisbeth.

I would bet money you don't get hassled a single time.

For the record, I love the no drill "GoMiniGo" kit. Looks cool, I get all kinds of compliments, and no raised eyebrow from the man!

I can't seem to dig up a picture off hand, but would go take one if needed... Just let me know.

I personally will never buy anything from Mini Mania, unless I can't find it anywhere else and absolutely have to have it. Seeing how they mark up
their prices even more than the stealership. Hell, even a mirror cap that
Outmotoring sells for $164 is $225 there.

Ok, I found a picture of my license plate mount. I also added a smoked cover over the plate.

Another alternative is from Craven.

Looks solid and you also have the iphone and ipod holders off the tach. Pretty solid items.

Countryman Plate Holder:

Can anyone confirm if our Cooper S front bumpers have the little plastic bumps already formed into the bumper to hold the license plate? I keep trying to figure this out... I want to do the offset thing, but if there are already dimples in the bumper id rather just fill them with the plate, but if it is smooth... I want to keep it that way.... Anyone know!!???

Ryanzak, you can barely see the dimples where the screws would go into the front bumper. I ordered the Craven mount. I will get it on this weekend.

Most of the time I will run without a front plate.

I was also hoping the Garage door opener on my MINI could be programmed to work to operate it.

So, Lindseybp owes me a coke. I got hassled by a Baltimore City cop who had nothing better to do. I got pulled over while taking my daughter to school for not having the front tag. He wrote me a warning (glad it didn't cost me anything), but now I have to figure this out. I have the ClearBra and didn't inspect whether they created a cutout for the tow hook cover. If I get the no drill plate-holder, I'll have to remove that cover.

It looks to me like the GoMiniGo only allows for vertical adjustment but the MiniMania and CravenSpeed have some horizontal adjustment options as well.

Am I missing something or do the MiniMania and CravenSpeed appear to be a bit more flexible than the GoMiniGo in terms of placement options?

That's exactly my goal, ordered and installed already! When I get home I'll take pictures or maybe a video of it in action and post it here.
