I regret soooooo much buying my Mini @ Nick Alexander mini

Hello guys,

Dont get me wrong I love my mini. I am just really fed up with Alexander Mini I thought about selling my 3 month old Mini. I am not trying hard to make them look bad or ruin their reputation, it seems like they dont want to bother taking care on customers who bought the car already. I got ganged up and got laughed at me that I am so tired to even write everything what happend. OMG i feel so bad again just thinking about them smiling with sneer. well I just hope my mini have no problem what so ever i dont have to visit any dealer.
Thanks for reading my lament. *sigh

Jay.

I'd talk to the GM and explain why you feel the way you do. Site specific instances. Put in in a letter or email and CC MINI USA. If things are that bad, is the a consumer advocate at the local TV or radion station to speak with? What exactly did they do???

You bought it; that part is over.

The folks at MINI of Ontario are very good and have treated my family and the local MINI club very well. Why not give them a try?

I hear you. I have had such bad dealership experiences that I do not know that I will ever buy another MINI... we'll see when I take Viola in for her final warranty service inspection. After the first trip though, I could NOT take her in for the second trip and my hubby had to take her over to a different dealership for me. The thought of walking onto another MINI lot makes my stomach churn... but hopefully... this new dealership will make things right with me.

We'll see.

no more Nick

well it's a long story. I dont want to cry about it and tell story like i am a victim. I was really upset but when i think about it I am sure everyone at some point have experienced inconvenience at their dealer. I am new to Mini and new to NAM. It's cool that I get warm interest THX!

Go to Mini of Sterling for your service. When I bought my 2005 cooper the service dept at Mini of Sterling was horrible. There were lots of complaints posted on forums and other places. Since then they have really turned it around. I just bought a 2008 Clubman and I ran it over to them for a few things. No appointment nothing and they took the car right in, checked it over, and set up an appointment for me. The service was excellent when I took it back and they treated me very well.

I saw someone refer you to MINI of Sterling as an alternate. Just to clarify, are you having issue with MINI of Alexandria? I'm asking because I am considering that dealership for my upcoming purchase?

You stated Alexander, which made me think it may be another MINI dealership and not Alexandria. Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, I found that there is a Alexander MINI dealership in Los Angeles.

Absent both sides of the story and complete information, I don't think it's fair to paint this dealership in a bad light. The OP stated in retrospect that maybe he may have overreacted....

If it is the most convenient one to go to, then on a go forward basis talk to Amanda there. She just left South Bay MINI to go there and is the best!!!! But if you are completely done there, I have always been happy with South Bay MINI, and I bought mine at Long Beach, and while initially unhappy, they have been much better.

Dealerships are all different. North Dallas Mini deadership was a very poor experience for me. 2 months later walked into Moritz in Arlington ready for the same. Long story made short, I am in my second Mini from them and have nothing but good to say for them. They have been very good to me.
Look around if possible. 20 or so miles made a night and day difference.
Never give up.

What? Amanda White left South Bay MINI and now works for Nick Alexander MINI?

Go to Monrovia BMW. They treated me very nice. Ask for John. They gave me a free service when my MINI was out of warranty. They also buffed out a huge scratch for free.
My bad experance was at Universal BMW. They are very hard to deal with and recommend highly to stay away.

I thought Nick Alexander MINI was pretty crappy when we were shopping for our first MINI in 2004. We ended up buying from Crevier in Orange County (and our second MINI!), which I've always had good experiences with. Most of my maintenance was done at South Bay MINI once it opened, and they were always good to me as well. Just drive a little further south and get away from Nick Alexander.

I didnt really look around for my Mini. I only went to Nick Alexander Mini and found my beatiful Mini in the showroom then nextday I drove out whith it
well sales team was really nice but when I needed service they didnt take their time to check it out. I could tell they were not listening to me and billing me a enormous amount of money with prediction. When I drive around town I see alot of Mini's with Alexander Mini plate. very busy selling alot of cars but very limited service.

My last service was just out of warranty and John just gave it to me. Around a hundred dollar value. Makes me want to keep going to them and buy my next MINI from them. Customer Service it pays.

I've had generally bad experiences with Nick Alexander MINI service, as well. I recommend South Bay MINI -- they're still pre-programmed to say the things MINI wants them to say but they are much more helpful and will go out of their way to keep you happy (as much as possible when MINI is the company behind them, of course).

Whenever I hear someone is buying a MINI in my area I recommend them not to go to Nick Alexander.
