Gjn,

Please tell us what size wheels & tires and brand you used to get your times and if you know their weight that would be helpful. BTW 5.22 is about a second faster than Mini prints for the factory JCW nice run.

5.22 seems a little fast but the numbers MINI prints are a little underrated.

I can get about 5.9 in my stock JCW, and I'm not exactly the best at quick shifting.

Are your 210/240 hp/tq numbers at the wheel? You're essentially where I'm at.

And yes, mini underrates #'s tremendously. Stock mini's have dyno'd 170 whp 190 wtq on a dynodynamics, which is what mini rates them at the crank.
Also, their 0-60 time is recorded based on the fact that at stock you have to shift to 3rd to get to 60, 2nd goes to about 58, so that adds a good .5 seconds or so for shift time. You'll get the car to 60 in 2nd with some mods, which reduces times tremendously

With my exhaust and intake stock ecu my g-tech read 0-60 in 5.6 sec (hit 60 in 2nd gear). I believe thats a bit fast for stock, but the accelerometers are only so accurate, along with how flat the surface was etc. I didn't average runs of both directions so it may not be very accurate, but it should be in the high 5 range imo.

I'm at 210/235 whp/wtq (or a bit more now with 2psi more boost), but I haven't re-run a 0-60, or 0-100, but I'm assuming lower 5's now.

Regardless, 0-60 doesn't mean much anyways.

FYI I love my car just race a V6 Comero RS and kill him. (on an old airport field not the street) alose hit 143.4 mph it was nuts and a ton of fun!!!

Id assume you did if you are @ 210 whp
I was saying at stock power you need to hit 3rd to reach 60

Umm. 0-100 in 9.52??

I'm finding that a little hard to believe. Not to be a doubter or anything, but I'm doubtful.

I've always considered a car that can do 0-100 in under 10 seconds to be very fast.

My last car for example weighed 400lbs more than the Mini and had 3 times the power, it did 0-100 in high 7's.

Here's a list from some site of cars in that range.

Lamborghini Gallardo 9.4s
Porsche 911 Turbo 996 9.4s
Noble M12 GTO 9.4s
BMW Alpina B5 E60 9.5s
Holden HSV GTS Supercharger 9.5s
TVR T350T 9.5s
Ford GT40 9.5s
Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 9.5s
Ferrari 575M Fiorano 9.6s
Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG 9.7s
Audi R8 V12 TDI 9.7s

What did you use as timing equipment?

Bahh.. No you don't. GTR's suck to drive and Dubai is hot and you can't kiss your girl in public.

If it was the Raceway's equipment I'm sure it's accurate.

Obviously you can see my shock and awe at a sub 10 second 0-100 time.

I'm picking my new JCW up this weekend and already have the Alta AP unit to plug in. Your news has me even more excited about how fast the car may be.

don't want to rain on your parade dude but 0-100 in 9.52? Can't believe anyone would even take that claim seriously. That time is beyond optimistic. It kills me when people post ridiculous times on here.

sorry, but 0-100 in 9.52 cannot be correct....considering most MCS's around your horsepower level won't hit 100mph in the 1/4-mile, and they hit the quarter in low 14's, high 13's.......you can see how impossible it would be to hit your 9.52 number. Just sayin....

Also, who cares about 0-60 in a FWD car....its a completely useless stat. I can tell you a 330-400whp MCS will have probably have a similar 0-60 time as your car.

We need to see more 1/4-mi times around here...that is a much more useful stat for comparison amongst vehicles, especially the MPH. I need to get out to the 1/4 myself, but I'd do horrible with my bald tires

I would LOVE to see quarter mile time comparisons around here for different mods. Unfortunately my best was only a 14.2, and that was back in the days of my unicrap @ 21psi and minor mods.

I LOL every time I see people post up times that are completely ridiculous. I want to tell people "The reading off of your Iphone dyno is NOT ACCURATE!." The only numbers that matter to me are dyno and time sheets from the track.

Ok. Glad I'm not alone on that one.

I'm currently driving a Grand Sport Corvette until I get my JCW this weekend. It's got 436 horsepower and probably does 0-100 in about 9 seconds. It's just a tad faster than a Mini with a tiny bit of mods.

That said I'll be very happy to get rid of the vette and pick up the Mini.

I am biased against 0-60. That measure is such a marketing tool. To me the most valuable numbers would be 30 -70 and 60-100. Im with thumper, 0-60 on a fwd is useless.

Maybe 9.52 in the 1/8th

Geesh my shifter will go 0-100 in 6.xx sec. but it is pretty stupid and certainly faster than anything I have ever driven.

Mini = not that fast.

I really dont see why straight line times really matter.. Its not like these vehicles were designed to be american muscle cars that can only go in a straight line and couldnt make a turn if they needed to. The corvette is an exception.
