satellite gray color line

How do those of you with the satellite gray color line like it? Does it clash with the beige headliner? I was originally going to go with the carbon black color line, but I'm thinking it may become depressing. Any pics would be appreciated.

Either black punch or black lounge with black checkered trim

I am attaching a reposted pic from when I picked up my car with the satellite gray color line. It was kind of unintended, I asked the dealer for "gray" thinking the dark gray, and with neither of us really thinking there were two grays, he ordered satellite. I was kind of shocked when I first saw it but really liked the way it broke up the mostly dark interior. It's very pale, the dealer GM said when he first saw it he thought it was beige and was already preparing to replace it if I didn't like it. The interior is the part of my JCW I like the best. For 2011 you get the blacked out centerstack and instrument faces, red stitching on the steering wheel and shift boot, and anthracite headliner. My choices of Chili Red dash and door panels, satellite gray color line, and custom black/perforated red and black/red piping leather upholstery makes for a great contrast. Every MINI afficionado who's seen my interior says it's one of the best combos they've ever seen. Not sure how it would look against the standard beige headliner but looks great with the darker anthracite.

That does look great, any pics of the dash? I like it better than Polar Beige with my exterior choice (white silver). But the headliner doesn't look like it would match very well. I would go for the anthracite headliner, but that would sort of defeat the point of lightening up the interior (I'm not buying a sunroof).

I would opt for the polar beige color line...especially if you go with the black lounge.

Here's a quick phone-pic of the dash. Note the black instrument faces exclusive to the JCW this year.

Can't say I'm a fan of that grey, it just looks odd. I wonder why they're offering it, since it doesn't seem to match any interior/exterior color that they currently offer?

Polar Beige will match the piping on the black lounge leather very well, as well as the headliner.

Was not aware of it, must be a new color for 2011. Any pics of it?

I guess it makes sense then. I don't know if it would work on a hardtop though.

I believe you said in another thread that you worked for MINI, and that you can sometimes order options even though the configurator won't allow it... do you think that the satellite lounge leather could be placed into a hard top, even though it isn't listed as a choice on the configurator?

no, the back seat is different, so they do not have a Satellite Grey back seat cover for a hardtop.
