production number, 2 weeks and counting

after 2 plus weeks I'm still in MINI limbo so to speak, all my MA says is "it's in the queue but we don't have a number yet" I know 2 weeks is nothing to freak out over but damn this waiting sucks heh, I guess hoping I could celebrate my birthday late next month with a new car is starting to fade. Time to go shopping or something else to take my mind of of this for a spell

Yeah I'm still waiting for a production date also. I just have a production number and owners lounge states no production date was set as of yet. I ordered on Jan. 4th, but made a change to the order and dont think it was actually input until Jan. 10th or so.

Fidge, yer lucky to at least have received a number, I got nothing yet whatsoever and I ordered on Dec 30 heh, I also made an order change the next day after placing mine but they said it was no problem at all. I'm just so hoping to hear something is going on and moving ahead.

Wow you should check with your dealer because they usually can give you the production number within a day or so of placing the order. Kinda strange you didn't at least get the number yet.
What are the details of your order?

Fidge, I am going to give them till end of this upcoming week ( 3 weeks is enough ) and then if nothing is received yet I am going to go down there and put my heels on the neck of the sales manager till he gives me something concrete heh, all my MA tells me is they don't have anything yet but it is in the queue....

As for my new baby she's a Horizon Blue / Black justa with fog lights, clear indicators, black sport stripe, anthracite headliner & the alternate 5 star spoke wheels... was going for a more subtle & clean look... Hope it pans out that way

I know the feeling.... alas, my MINI left English soil on the 18th, and hopefully will be in Cali by the first or second week of Feb . Then I'm not even sure when it will get to Hawaii after that.. maybe by my Birthday! Don't get too impatient though, things will eventually happen, then when they do you can call the 1-866 ASK MINI number and see what is going on. Goodluck!

Not sure how the process works, but I received a production number before I left the dealership the day I ordered the car. It may be that the dealer gave me one of their slots...I dunno...

Erikka, I like your color choice . I was also considering it but ended up with the Lazer Blue and Black. I called askMINI and was informed my MINI is in production and will be completed by Jan. 26th. Did you get any update from your dealer?

Fidge, yes finally I did, my car was born 2 days ago and my MA say it should hitting the water in a week or so, I got the production and this info at the same time, tho miniusa says the number is not valid or in their database so for now the owners lounge thing is useless to me lol.... I guess I could call askMINI tho

She finally is seeing the light of day, MA says she should be shipped off in a week or so, odd that I got that info with the production number heh, couldnt track it's progress , but I'll be happy to bring her home soon, end of feb probly.

Maybe we will be on the same ship? But since my expected completion date is Jan 26th, Idk.

Hey SilverMiniGirl, if you can't find anything on the WW website, that just means that your MINI hasn't been loaded on the ship yet. At least I am pretty sure from my experience. Keep trying every day .

My baby is at port of exit now, hoping she'll be on her way in a few days and I was unable to use the website with my number as well, MA said it was production number, askMINI said it was the VIN actually and at least they could tell me what was going on, tho were stumped with the website issue heh....

You can find both the VIN and Production # on the Owners Lounge website when you review your order. Then when you want to track it, enter your VIN.

Yeah, that would have worked great however to sign up for the owners lounge it needs prod # or VIN and all I ever got was "invalid number, not in our database" heh so I simply had to wait it out without knowing much of anything till I actually called askMINI to check on it, they had no answer to the unable to create account/login issue heh

I am at the port too, maybe our MINIs will be bunk mates. I only got my prod# because there was a problem with my original order and they had to change the color, so she faxed me a Vehicle Inquiry Report, which I needed to initial, to make sure all was okay.

That form had my prod# in the upper left corner of the page. I then signed up for the Owner's lounge, and got my status info....the Dealership is brand new, and my MA is brand new too. (Very friendly, but brand new!)

I'm a research junkie, and got lucky that she gave me that Vehicle Inquiry Report, or I would not even have that to use.

Still no shipping info, but it according to the shipping schedules, and that my car is getting off the boat in NY, it has to be a WW ship, and it is either leaving Jan 31 or Feb 9, because one of the other ships match the port info. (Southamton to NY)
