R56 Driving shoes...
I have like 4 pairs of supercats, all good driving shoes.
There is plenty of space in the mini's footwell though. In my other car, I can't wear really wide shoes as the accelerator rests against the carpet of the transmission tunnel.

I dont have pair of "driving" shows but I do wear a pair Adidas Samba Moderns when ever I drive the MINI. Nice thin sole and very comfy.

Puma Speedcats. Love 'em. I also have a pair of Piloti's, but they blow - they're HUGE and bulky, not very flexible, no feel, etc. How anybody could call them driving shoes is beyond me. But the Speedcats are perfect - light, thin-soled, great pedal feel, not bulky.. important when you wear 13's. :0

I had some Pilotis and they were fine. Looking for a good pair of driving shoes for the spring though. My Chucks aren't too bad at the moment.

Quite possible it was my particular model that was so bulky, and when you combine that with massive feet and a small footwell (in my other car, the Mini's is huge), it's not a good recipe. Love the look, just not the functionality.

I have both and though the Pumas might have more pedal feel I can not stand in them for more then about 10 to 15 minutes before my backs starts hurting. They are definitely not for walking what so ever. The Pilotis on the other hand a great for the might not have as much pedal feel but it is not like driving with boots on(which I do everyday). I got them right before MTTS and they were great for all the walking I did during that and are just great shoes. But everyone is going to like what they like.
I have been wearing some water sport shoes from Merrill that have a tightly trimmed, thin, sole for good feel, and just enough padding to make walking an auto-x course no problem. The edges and the heel are all slightly rounded and work well for "heel 'n toe".

I don't have specific "driving shoes". I generally wear whatever I'm wearing to work, which are usually Merrell or Keen. I have an old pair of Merrells that I prefer for driving (so old I can't find a picture), followed by my Chucks. When I take the car to the track, I use the Chucks.
Porthos...How on earth do you "Spit Shine" those??!!
Ps. my usual driving shoe is what I'm going to work in...mostly Keens, one pair of Merrell's left...they hurt my Feet after trying to wear them for a Day!!

I prefer driving in my Varvatos Converse Chuck Taylors in old-school camo, complete with crazy eyelets with shock-corded laces!

I also have a pair of high-top gray PF Flyers (very similar to Chuck Taylors) if I wanna be more color-coordinated.
