I have trouble finding shoes that work with my flexible, high arched, narrow feet so I am hesitant to ever order shoes online. Plus it seems most "real" driving shoes are sized for men which adds another layer of hesitation to that. So I just kept my eye out for shoes that would work after getting my MINI last month and happened to find these Privo shoes at a Clark's outlet store. They were only $60 and are super comfy. And comfy is something I have a hard time finding! They are not made for narrow feet though, so I have to tighten the laces a few times a day... but that isn't the shoe's fault.
I grabbed a pair of Nike walking shoes. Very light, very narrow in the sole and heel, and nicely rounded bottom. Mine are a couple of years old, but very similar to this one. Really comfortable to drive in.
My driving shoes are whatever I happen to be wearing that day. I have yet to drive with my monster 8 inch platform boots. I'll let you know how that goes.
Was at the Reebok outlet store and they had driving shoes.
Shoes are narrow and have thin soles
Those concerned about walking while wearing the shoes should note that the shoes had arch support.
Did not write down any info or take pics, but these look to be the ones: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Reebok-Drivi.../dp/B003VVFHIK
How do you guys drive in boots? I have problems with my feet touching/hitting each other and the plastic fascia as it is with minimalistic shoes! size 12/13
I have both and though the Pumas might have more pedal feel I can not stand in them for more then about 10 to 15 minutes before my backs starts hurting. They are definitely not for walking what so ever. The Pilotis on the other hand a great for the might not have as much pedal feel but it is not like driving with boots on(which I do everyday). I got them right before MTTS and they were great for all the walking I did during that and are just great shoes. But everyone is going to like what they like.
I've got the same Pilotis... I agree they are pretty comfortable to walk around in. Even after 25 hours in the paddock my feet weren't bothering me much. But then again I was so exhausted I couldn't feel much.
