Spark Plugs

The owner manual says 60K for Cooper S and 120K for JustaCooper. My MA says 60K-90Kish...Anyone want to give me the definitive answer as to when we change our spark plugs?

According to the press release from PSA it needs to be every 40k but check them and see what they look like then make that call if you want to change them. I change mine between 10k and 30k depending on driving for performance reasons but that was my last car. I have changed them once in the MINI.

If you are in question. Change them. Plugs should last up to 100,000 miles.

The trouble that can happen with plugs left in that long is, any carbon deposits can tear the threads out when you remove those 100,000 mile old plugs. For that reason I change plugs at 50,000. Plugs are not expensive.

I don't know about you but $350 is not cheap. That is about what 4 oem plugs go for.

They are no $350. Where the hell are you getting them from. They might be like $80 to $90 from the stealership.
