'11 Clubbie S Changes That Prevent Mods

Well, I ordered some goodies from Way MotorWorks and found out that there are some differences in the '11 models. The '10 and earlier JCW intake will not fit! Our base is slightly different and uses only three torx screws to attach, whereas the earlier models use 4, and only one lines up!

Also, I ordered the NM Inlet Tube for the intercooler that removes the strange "noise-maker and improves the flow of air. Well, the engineers got wise, and removed the strange contraption, so the NM piece does nothing, so that is going back as well.

I also order the AllSport Access tuner with tune from RMW, only to find out that the '11 computers have been changes so that they cannot be "tuned".

I spoke with Jan, and they are working on that, but for now, if you re-flash the factory ECU, it is not reversible and would void your warranty.

So the only things that I was able to instal were the Way MotorWorks BOV, the NM Discharge tube, and the Magnaflow exhaust. I have NM springs, but haven't had the time to install them yet.

Just thought I'd post this to hopefully save some of you the hassels I've had. All the vendors have been more than understanding and offered refunds without even having to be asked!

I figured this would happen...haha..

It would only be a matter of time before the folks at BMW caught up with things...

the BOV did work?

i have actually held off on ordering an ALTA intake or any other cool mods until these manufactures could really get there hands on a 2011.

Can someone verify that the current Alta CAI will work on the 2011 models and that it does not screw up anything with the additional 10hp the 2011's received from factory?

from the looks of things it looks like the engine is completely different and so is the airbox, more of a tube then a box

Just another FYI. I have a 2011 Clubbie S and I purchased Quad Driving lights for my car and the brackets don't fit because the AC line has been reengineered in our 2011 cars. The guy who makes them is having my car to be the first to be a model and he is making me custom brackets to fit which I am waiting for. I will be happy to post it up after its done. Should be next week or so I heard.

As a word of warning, none of the heat shields fit either.
