Any demand for rebuilt H&R RSS Adjustable Coilover set?

I have an H&R RSS Coilover set I am taking off my 2002 Mini Cooper S that has about 40k on them. They are too low for me and I am installing a stock kit.

The Rears are OK but the fronts feel like they have to be rebuilt.

I am thinking of sending the fronts to this place to get rebuilt and then sell the set.

http://tamparally.com/component/page...art/Itemid,30/

This will cost me $300 plus shipping. I know a new set goes for ~1300 dollars, would I be able to sell this for much more above the 300 bux or is it just not worth it? I figure I can get around $150 or so just for the springs.

This would be the 4 dampers and 4 sets of springs, adjustment tool and I think that is it.

I only want to do this to recoup some of the cost of the new JCW basically stock set I am replacing it with.

Thanks!

I might be interested, you might also try Bilstein as they offer a rebuild service and it was ~$65 the last time I checked but I thought the H&R dampers have a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser?

Thanks, yeah there warranty is pretty strict, need the receipt, go through place of purchase, etc. None readily available to me.

PM me, I will have them off in a few days and can let you know what is up. I looked in Bilstein's site and didn't see anything about rebuilding them. Do you have a link?

I used to have a link but they have updated the website and removed that page, try http://www.bilsteinus.com/about-bilstein/contact.html and call them.

[EDIT] Here is a thread on another forum, looks like it is $75 per damper now for rebuild service.
