well 35 will be just about flush with the fenders on a whatever x 7" wheel.

a 20 will poke out 15mm more past the fender... youll need to probably stretch some tires on them, and in this case a smaller dia. wheel will help like a 16. a 16x8 will poke a little more than a 16x7 obviously and an 8 will probably look better because you definately dont want some goofy 'half-poke" with a stretched tire on a too-narrow of a wheel.

But there are people (like Rally) much better suited to answer these questions..

Depends on:
How you define "better" looking- post an example picture of what you like.
Your suspension (stock vs lowered) and alignment
Which tire you choose- wider, narrower or normal for rim you pick
Which rim you choose- diameter and width.

Likely that et 35mm would be better as you can also do custom spacers 3 to 5mm with longer wheel studs to get it just right. et20 is likely too aggressive unless you choose stock wheel width with lots of negative camber.

All of those pictures show wheels that are sticking out more than flush.

So 16x7 et35mm and add spacers if needed.
This wheel may stick out about 17mm or 0.7" more than a stock 17x7" wheel.

What width? 7"?

Stock is 6.5" widest would be about 8" but tire sizes are more limited.

reasonable size would be 7 or 7.5" wide.
