JCW BBK self-install?

Hey Guys, my JCW BBK for my r56 are coming in on monday!!! However the dealership wants 7 hours of labor at $150 each to install them!!! That is way out of my budget. I was planning on installing them myself. Can it be done? Is there any special tools I need? Thanks guys I really appreciate the help.

Only special tools needed is a brake line wrench. Normal open ended wrenches will round the brake lines preventing you from removing the stock calipers.

a BBK upgrade is no different than changing your pads and rotors, if you can do that, then you can replace the caliper too.

there is also a software portion. many people speculate that it's so the new brakes will work properly with the abs. but i don't see why you could not install all of the hardware then have the dealer do the software portion only and pay only for that.

some people on NAM just installed the hardware and didn't notice anything odd so that maybe the way to go as well.
