R55 HiFi amp wiring

Does anybody have a schematic, know the wiring colors and what they do, and/or have a connector diagram going in/out of the hifi amp?
I am trying to add an amp/sub spliced into the rear channel (preferably coming out of the headunit/into the amp). I have read these forums for about 3 days and have pieced together this:
4ch output from the head unit (through the X9331 connector):
Rear Left+ = Blue/Brown
Rear Left- = Blue/Black
Rear Right+ = Brown/orange
Rear right- = Yellow/Red

The issue is, at the amp connector, there are 2 sets of Blue/Brown and Blue/Black pairs!!!
From more research, it looks like Blue/Brown and Blue/Black are also used for the amp output to the Right Front uppers speaker.......??

Not sure what you are trying to do but the best place to connect is at the X9331 connector in the front drivers foot well. You can then run shielded wires to the amp where ever you locate it.

Also of note for you is that the OEM Amp "MUST" stay in place or they will not be able to reprogram your car it needed. The programing system knows if the amp is there or not and WILL NOT allow re-programing to happen for any module in the car if one is missing and the OEM amp is one of them.

By the way the signals out of the head unit going to the amp are speaker lever NOT line level.

Here's what I found:
There are 13 twisted pair bundles, and 2 singles going in/out of the amp. All wires, whether input or output, are connected on one end of the Amp with 2 molex-style blocks held together with a plastic block, which has a lever action release.
I assume all 4 channels from the head-unit by way of the X9331 are present, so that's 4 pairs. That leaves 8 pairs for the output (which matches what I've read in other posts).
The 13th twisted pair are very small gauge - smaller than the others - I do not know what these are...?
The singles, I assume (again), are power and ground...

The twisted pairs coming from the X9331 are present (I assume) at the HiFi Amp connector, as the following colors are present.
Blue/Black RL-
Blue/Brown RL+
Yellow/Red RR-
Brown/Orange RR+
Yellow/Black FR-
Yellow/Brown FR+
Black/Violet FL-
Black/Red FL+

The issue for me is, there are 2 pairs of Blue/Black, Blue/Brown wires... I wanted to tap into the inputs for the rear, but without knowing which one of these is was (without tearing apart the front of the car (lazy I guess)) input vs. output, I didn't know.

So from reading, I knew that the rear woofers (6x9) pairs are:
Red/White and Brown = left
Red/White and Brown/White = right
These wires are on the bigger pins in the connectors, and were easy to take out and solder wires onto. I ran then to my powered sub, and it works like a charm.

Ha! I found what I needed - AFTER my car is back together....

Thanks oPossum!!!

Here's the Speaker wire schematic:

Here's the connectors specs:
http://www.mcaw.info/opossum/R56AmpPinout.png

Here's the Amp power schematic:
http://www.mcaw.info/opossum/R56AmpPower.png

So - It IS an 8 channel amp driving:
1 - Front Tweeter L (assume A pilar) and Front midrange L
2 - Front Tweeter R (assume A pilar) and Front midrange R
3 - Front Woofer L
4 - Front Woofer R
5 - Rear Tweeter L
6 - Rear Tweeter R
7 - Rear woofer (6x9) L
8 - Rear woofer (6x9) R

The single Red/Green wire is definitely power
The single Brown wire is either ground or remote (goes to the X13016 connector)
The smaller twisted pair, Orange/Green and Green, is the CAN bus connections (BTW - I disco'ed the battery before pulling the amp connections to make sure no codes were thrown).

The Brown is ground, the remote-on (not listed above) is the small (0.5mm/22ga) solid black wire.
