I'm definitely interested. WildThang talked to me about it on the Fall motoring Run, said he could invite me. I've been up there once about 5 years ago, and did the bus tour in the hills. It looks so much more fun in the Mini! But then again, isn't everything funner in a Mini?
I will be there. Probably go by way of Carhenge again. Or maybe Chimney Rock.

Scooter and I have a set a route and time to leave. Let us know if you'd like to join us for the trip up.
We're going north and west on two lane roads all the way, farm land to sandhills, sandhills into the prairie of South Dakota, then up through the badlands into Rapid City.

How to get there?
So, last Thursday Madelyn Emma came. We are happy and all that, but now I have a problem: How to get 2 adults, a 4 year old and a newborn in an '09 MINI all the way to Rapid City, in May, along with our luggage. Any suggestions?
Congratulations! Unfortunately I can't suggest anything real useful. Take two cars, purchase a roof rack and clamshell, or get a hitch and small trailer. The latter would have other benefits but still costs some money. And may cause warranty issues.
A roof rack would work if you were carrying a large sea trunk full of diapers or something.
the Hills are calling!!!
