Aftermarket HU Install?

So I just finished changing out everything, my only fuss is that the HU will not push back further than it is. There is about 1.25in sticking past the fascia adapter threshold. When I stick my hand behind the head unit with everything detached I feel some odd hook thing that I assume was built for the stock HU? Did any of you have this problem? Oh and the problem that there is no where for the basket to be secured too? PITA. Anyways has anyone removed that hook object that might be keeping my HU from being flush?

Thanks.

Why can't someone that has swapped out the HU chime in?

Earth to NAM! I am currently not at the base and can't use the auto hobby shop to remove my HU again to remove this bolt.

Am I correct in saying that this is a bolt that is keeping my headunit approx. 1.5inches forward instead of it being completely flush.
