Need recommendations on new seats

Hello, I am looking for new seat options for my 02 S. I have the blue lapis interior and I would like some sportier deeper seats. I would like them to match the blue and I would love some sort of suede. I also dont want my airbag light to stay on. Any recommendations? -Clint

The airbag can system can be tricked into thinking the airbags are still present....a resistor that is the same exact resistance as the airbag is inserted into the airbag harness...do some searches...you can buy the resistor at radio-shack or online for a few cents, or buy a plug with them soldered in for a few $$.
BE sure you DO NOT POWER on the car with the seats removed until the airbag defeat resistor is installed...if you do, it will send a fault code, and set the light...a tool is needed to re-set the light.
As for seats...have fun....somebody should chime in!!

Sparco Milano 2 or Prestige is what I plan to get in the future.....the passenger seat sensor will be transplanted for the airbag and the resistor method will be used. Probably the only thing I am unhappy with at this point are the OE seats.

I'm interested to see people's thoughts on this. I acctually really like my black leather s seats, but the threads are starting to go on one side, and the leather has started cracking on the seat... So maybe i will get an aftermarket seat when it goes all bad

I would look into Corbeau seats as an option. I know they have suede as an option in most of their lineups.

Luseboy - Why not find an upholstery shop and have them re-wrapped?

I have a set of Sparco Torinos in mine and love them.I don't burn my legs in the some or freeze them in the winter. 3.3ohm 2 watt resistors is what you need. Let me know if you need some I have 40+ left laying around here.

i'm doing the same thing, my leatherettes are such a pain in the you know what. so my brother and I are working on them this weekend, i'm still keeping my warmers too. also the up and down motion gear broke in 5 pieces so i took it off, now my seat goes down when i sit in it and up when i get out and the leatherette has started to crack too, so time to swap them out.

Have you sat in RSX seats? Personally I did not like the padding or shape. S2000 seats are much better if you are looking towards Honda seats.

Sparco Milano's are really nice seats. Corbeau is a good cheaper seat along with the Torino 2's. The Milano's use a much nicer fabric though, suede vs cloth.

Going with any of the racing seats can be tricky. I have a set of SPARCO Sprint 5's and even for me they are a tight fit (I'm not a verry big guy either ) Just make sure you can try them on before fliping the bill.

As for seats from other cars, my favorites are LOTUS Exige, S2000, STi (even the right color and material for you) EVO 8-9, '03 Honda Civic Si seats.

S2000 seats go for $500-750 for the pair. Getting the seat rails to mount up will take some creativity. Definitely would help to have a friend with a welder and some metal stock.

....wow they overpaid. When I looked at them they looked to be in the $700 range for a set depending on condition.

well S2000 seats were essentially the same from 00-05. In 06 they changed the headrest design. 06 and up seats go for a little more. S2000 CR seats are by far the most expensive though.

they are, they feel great and they keep me in the seat, unlike the old leatherette i had in there. I kept all the OEM electronics on these. one thing though, STI's are a bit wider then mini. so you will have some trimming to be done to the plastic moldings.
