Need help with tire options...

Bought some new stuff. Nice!

Car: 2008 Mini Cooper S - Dark Silver

Wheels:
ALT 279 - 17x7.5" 35mm offset - will powder coat satin black, oh yes.

Suspension: NM Engineering Lowering Springs - 1.2" drop.

I like the racing type look. What tires should i buy to achieve the look in these pics?

Thanks!!

What wheels are those? And are they really 235s?

At first glance they look like Rota RB's.

That's because they are Rota RB's in a 17" size. JCW requires a .15 spacer though.

Good to know. I take it that wheel/tire size wouldn't work on an r53? Are there any wheels VERY similar to the Rota MC in a 17? They look amazing on the r56, but I'd want to stick with 17s on my r53. Great looking dark silver MCS, by the way.

BBS LM are more then similar, since MCs are replicas of LMs. They are only available in 17". I don't know if 235's will work on an R53.

There are too many factors to give a straight answer. Ride height, camber, the specific brand/type of tire you choose.

You might want to go with a 225/40, I couldn't say definitively if that will give the same bulged look you want.

I see. I'll guess I'll research. Thanks for your help!
