IBOC/DAB reciever disconnect

Hi,

Can I unplug IBOC/DAB reciever (under the steering coloumn)? Will there be any errors or disfunctionallities?

In the R56 it is in the boot on the right hand side behind the cover, is your car the R57? I can't imagine the tuner would fit under the column.

If you unplug the IBOC you will have no radio tuner (no FM or AM).

You would have to reconnect the antenna lead that goes to the head unit and then reprogram the radio with NCS Expert to enable the head unit radio.

Hm... So what is then the thing under the dash between the steering column and gas pedal?

That is A7000a, the Transmission control module. You *may* not want to remove that.
