Bass Problem after going to auto body shop
I went to this auto body shop to get the door lock problem fixed that most of us have experienced. They worked on the passenger door and i noticed when i got it back that the passenger bottom speaker was not working at all. So i brought it back and they got it working, but now there is no bass that comes out of it. I went back again to complained and they said "it must of blew." Don't you find it hard to believe that the speaker happened to blow on the side they were working on right after they gave it back to me?
You have probably done something by now, but if the speaker was blown you would hear crackling sounds coming from it. You wouldn't just lose bass from it. Are you just getting sound from the tweeter (1" diameter speaker at the top of the door) and no sound from the mid-woofer (5.25" diameter speaker at the bottom of the door)? If this is the case, they somehow disconnected the mid-woofer. You might be better off trying to trace the connection yourself than depending on them for a fix, even if they did break it. The "it must have blown" excuse makes me think they have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to audio setup.
