Suspension need to replace ball joints, what else?
need to replace ball joints, what else?
i took my 05 MCS for safety inspection today and i need new ball joints (thanks PA potholes!). i assume they meant the outers but if i'm doing it, i might as well do both inner and outer. i'm thinking that i should also replace the control arm and sway bar bushings.
i'll probably drop the subframe so what else should i do while i have it out? tie rods? endlinks? struts? the previous owner put on adjustable endlinks, lowering springs, sway bars, and a strut bar but i'm not sure how many miles are on the endlinks. the car has 55K on it and i don't want to work on the suspension again for a while so i want to do it all now. i might switch back to the stock springs too because the springs on it ride rough.
finally, who's the best vendor to get this stuff from? any brands in particular that i should use?
thanks

Check out our bushing/ball joint Kit here

The only other thing I'd suggest replacing is the Front swaybar bushings. You can use either Powerflex front swaybar bushings or the OEM front swaybar bushings. Go OEM if you want to save some $$.

And the car will follow ruts etc. Replaced my ball joints both inner and outer and it rides so smooth now and the steering is super precise. You may as well do your tie rods as well as doing it all at once will tighten it all up.
