H/K + iPod = (Pandora) Streaming worked w/4.0

So, with the release of iOS 4.0, streaming via apps like Pandora actually worked via the iPod Interface on my H/K system (2006 MINI).

I could connect my iPhone, launch Pandora via multitasking, switch back to iPod and pause playback, and from that point Pandora would stream uninterrupted.

This stopped working with the 4.1 IOS update. Reverting back to the usual behavior where the iPod would kick in after just a few seconds of Pandora.

Has anyone figured out a workaround for this? Short of reverting back to 4.0?
