Those are 8-foot boards folks ...and they fit just fine. The guys in the parking lot at Home Depot couldn't believe their eyes when I shut the hatch and drove away.

I love my MINI-hauler and am constantly amazed at what I can stuff into it.

Dean.

I love it! When I was telling my family about my interest in MINI, their questions were "can you fit ten bags of mulch in it?", "what about lumber?". I told them "no worries".

This picture is proof positive of what you can haul in these deceptive little buggers.

We moved my daughter into her college dorm with a Clubman and a hatchback MINI...and four people.

Before I decided to go MINI, I was looking for a Solstice Turbo coupe. I thought the Solstice coupe would have considerably more room than the convertible, but it didn't, so I got the MINI with a sunroof to feed my open air motoring wants and am impressed by how much it can carry, and still be fun. The popular tagline with Solstice owners is "You don't need a trunk...to haul ***!" But I think the MINI does a great job of both providing useful utility and fun.

I do a fair amount of tailgating at steeplechase races and people are always amazed when I pull out all of this gear from the back of my MINI.

heh, I'm just over 6' tall... I make it a habit to give people rides that are taller than me and tell them to stretch out if they try to suck in their knees.

Complete with candelabra and Persian rug. Seems like a far cry from football tailgating.

Interior Room - Yea!!

When I was looking for a new (to me) daily driver it came down to a MINI S 6-speed or a Chysler Crossfire 6-speed. I love the styling of both but once compared the MINI won hands down. The MINI came out on top for performance, handling, fuel economy and front wheel drive (Crossfire must be hell in the snow with RRD even w/ traction control). But ultimately the factors that sealed it were seating for four when needed, (Crossfire is strictly a 2 seater) and fold down rear seats for hauling my stuff and my Border Collie and Boxer around, the Crossfire has virtually no trunk space (a large glove box in the rear). So I now merrily drive my beloved MINI S every day.
