Other Big Problems?

Have an '07 S, 25K mi. Two weeks ago the car wouldn't start, had it towed and it was the chain/tensioner. Last week it wouln't start, had it towed, HP fuel pump. What's next?

Wrong. It was the HP fuel pump from the get go. You should be good to go now. The chain tensioner fix was just for drill, I think the service people are told to do that no matter what, and the fuel pump probably didn't give them the terminal error code that first time. It happens.

If you got the correct fixes for the chain/tensioner and the HPFP, you are half-way there. Just excessive carbon and clutch/flywheel and you'll be good to go!

Weird. My 07 S is right around the same mileage and I'm starting to see things go bad. Hopefully getting the chain tensioner taken care of next week (just started being noisy) and I'm going to mention my clutch is making 'weird' noises in neutral with the clutch out too, just to see what they say.

Seafoam it every 10K miles or so for the carbon. Try and keep the burnouts down to every other stoplight and you should get at least another 25K out of the clutch.

Turbo's next.....change your oil lately?

J/K!

But of all the turbos that have failed and been written about here, no oil change seems to be the one consistant thing.....
