Anyone know where I can find a Midlands 5-speed for a 2003 R50?

wow that is pricey for that midlands... im going to opt for the transmission conversion when it comes time (i have a seperate bank account for it). for parts its under 2,000 and for labor its 1600. i also think that in the long run itll outlast the midlands. far outlast. hope everything works out for you champ!

another thing, a rebuilt, "re enforced" midlands doesnt mean a reliable midlands. More information on the experiance of a person who went through a stock midlands then the re enforced midlands. i think to save money and time just do the getrag swap. theres a few people here that have done that. but check out this write up and the experiance this dude had with his r50.

If you search in the Cooper threads you will find my posting on it. I did it a long while ago. Best thing to do to the Cooper. Everything works fine but you have to extend the wires for the reverse light. No biggie. At the moment I have all the stuf to do the S motor swap sans the engine....

Something like 30k...I used a 140k used clutch and flywheel so its starting to wear. I was doing it on the cheap. The plate is just glazed....I was doing red light wheel hops against an SRT-4....
