R56 Unichip for R56 Cooper S
Unichip for R56 Cooper S
Hi guys, I am looking to get a little more power from my 2010 Cooper S. I have been reading about unichip uni-q and have seen that these chips a rarely available and are not even in stock from unichip. I also see that they are going for real cheap used. Are these any good? Have people had problems with them? I appreciate any help and feedback. Thanks
Forget the unichip.
This is what you want:

You'll also want an aftermarket intercooler to make the most of it.
Talk to Jeff from Alta - He can hook you up with some wicked go fast parts.

Yep/ The Alta route is the way to go. It took my R56 with the Stage 1 JCW kit from pretty fast to "Oh Crap" fast. I can onlt imagine what itis doing for the Factory JCW guys.
I put on an Alta intercooler and the Access Port tune and it was amazing the changes I experienced. It was a little pricey but I do not regret it in the least.
Bottom line is the Unichip is crap. Don;t waste your money. Get the Access Port and the bigger intercooler.
