First day member! P/S Issues

I'm new to the Mini world, I love the car, 2002S I've had it a year and have had 2 issues. It only has 75,000 miles and I've had it a year. First the cooling fan relay went out and had to replace the fan and shroud assy for $800! Now, the P/S pump electrical portion is going out after warming up. Can anyone in my area, Olympia, Wa. giveme an idea besides the dealer of where to get a reman one?

Thanks,
Danny

I had the same issue with my power steering. The carbon brushes are at least 1 1/2 " long. The create so much carbon dust in the motor armature that it shorts out the motor. These motors are almost indestructable, just pull apart and blow out all of the crap. Also blow off the circuit board internally as the carbon is conductable and can create havic.
If possible, get replacement brushes first and replace at the same time. If not, they will wear for about 175k miles. Save some bucks!!!
