Few questions about the new Cooper S 2011

Hello, I plan to order a 2011 Cooper S and i have a few questions.

I do not know which of these additions should I order with the vehicle.
I'd love to hear which of these additions are worth something and which are not worth paying extra for them.

The additions that I don't know if thay Worth the money are:

1) DTC - Dynamic Traction control
2) Limited-Slip differential
3) Sport button

Thanks for the help

DTc if you live in a area without snow is not really needed.

I'd go with the Sport and Limited Slip Differential. It's interesting that the sport and DTC aren't standard on MCS' where you are. The limited slip is a great option that MINI has gotten rid of on US cars. Wish I could've had it on mine.

I live in a hot country, so there is no snow here and winter is not serious here.

The delar here sales all the additions in extra money.

The DTC is good for the snow onlly?

The Limited Slip Differential is not heavy? It helps to speed corners harder, no?
It would not hurt me driving Experience? Because sometimes I like to play with the car and slide a bit (In the Cooper S R53 that I have now it is possible, but i dont know if it is possible also in the R56)

And the sport button is noticeable ? There is a really difference with driving experience?

Again Thanks for the help!

1.) limited slip is no linger available as of 3-10. So that isn't an issue.

2.) Sport button is std on the S in the USA.

I got all the packages. No reason for me to get a car and wish I had gotten something later. total was a shade over $28K.

Sounds like you're getting ripped off. The sport button is standard, and yes, people claim totally different driving. LSD is now built into the computer so it's not an option or extra charge. DTC is the only option you can add on for a charge and other posters are right, unless you live somewhere with snow (or even lots and lots of heavy rain), it's not really needed. I got DTC on my Clubby because he's my only car and while I've lived without DTC in the past, it does make a difference in the snow and it's one more thing to help keep me safe (although it'll probably never snow in DC again for years after this past winter )

The sport button is not standard here (the car is made in Europe standard)

If I order the DTC I'll get the sport button?

Thanks for the help!!

Naor, most of us here are only familiar with US configuration. Sport button is standard on every car here, so we wouldn't know any relationship with DTC. Have you tried asking on a more Euro-centric forum like totalmini.com or mini2.com?

Good news!

I ordered the car! Cooper S 2011 Eclipse gray color with black roof and panoramic roof.

In the end I added the sports button and the DTC.

In addition I have added Lounge leather with piano black line, Harman Kardon system, 17" wheels, xenon and more...

Now the dealer is supposed to check when the vehicle will enter the factory production line, hoping as soon as possible.

I really wanted to buy the John Cooper Works, but the dealer did not really wanted to order it for me, because he never brought John Cooper Works.
And that's why the price was extremely high from the Cooper S.

I'll probably buy a JCW tuning kit Once the vehicle arrives.

Hope the car will arrive soon as possible
