questions on installing the top right clamp (exhaust)

this is for the 2002 mini cooper s

the top right exhaust clamp got rusted out. right now these parts are removed: two rubber exhaust hangers, top and bottom clamp.

i included an attachment with the part highlighted in yellow.

the question is, can i somehow squeeze that part in around the resonator? have anyone here done it before without removing other parts? i have no experience in removing the bumper or loosening the long exhaust pipe near the catalytic converter(removing rusted screws)

the reason i ask is because the part will not arrive until the 22nd and the original clamp is split in half due to rust, stupid me for saving 2 dollars on shipping!

You can replace that hanger top easily without dealing with the pipes at all. But it does make it easier if you have the right tool. KD and Lisle make the tool and all I did was take off the right rear wheel to get at the clamp top to replace it. But without the tool to get the clamps off the rubber hangers, I am not sure what I would have done.

I just finally replaced the entire cat back with a JCW one. Got a good deal in the Marketplace and it is stainless so I hope that it will last more than the 100,000 miles that the OEM exhaust did. Now if only I can find tips for that new exhaust of mine.
