Crazy MINI Commercial!!! Check it Out!

A little explicit, but nontheless, pretty funny:

Umm, scale of 1-10 I'd have to give it a solid 2. For it being a 'MINI' commercial, the MINI was barely visible, unless you know the brand, and specifically what the top of the dash looks like, you would have no idea that there was a MINI in it.

I subscribe to MINI on YouTube and they have a lot of great commercials, but I agree with you guys.....this one is just a bit "off"

Hah well i haven't seen that many other MINI commercials to compare it to, but I thought the idea was funny. A different approach.

I'm a real fan of MINI's advertising, but other than the fact that she really likes her car, I'm afraid this one went over my head.....

And what was explicit about it? The commercial before the commercial?

The use of the word *****. Of course these days some think using that word (and others) are perfectly fine to use in everyday conversations, in front of children and whoever can hear it.

I liked it! His De Niro was not perfect but it was not bad at all.

OK, call me dense, but...... I got that he was doing the impression - but why did he get out of the car to do it, and what did that have to do with the MINI?

I guess I need to watch it a few more times.....my point is that most of MINI's advertising is not this obtuse.

On another note, I'm getting pretty tired of the put downs here - in no way did I say it wasn't fit for children - I simple asked a question. The reason I asked is that in the commercial before the commercial there is a very brief scene in which someone opens the refridgerator and there appears to be a nude person or persons in there, I wondered if that's to what they were referring in their comment.

Likewise, just because I don't agree with your point of view doesn't mean I'm a cretin or someone living in the past or a narrow minded jerk as a few of you seem to imply with your comments about the Italian Job movie.

So how about staying on message and leaving the personal observations out, eh?

I like the idea of MINI trying to be quirky in their advertising but I do have a major problem with it. Many of these commercials I are geared to the European market so no problem there. My problem is that MINI doesn't seem to be showing the enthusiast side, only the "cool, urban, trendy" side. Let's have interesting shots of groups of MINIs spiritedly motoring through major MINI runs(Dragon, etc) and the community that goes along with the car. I'm sure you see the smiles on the faces of those watching us as we drive by in a group. MINIs get noticed!
