Any driving events for 2010?

Hello to all,

Is there any driving events scheduled for this month or next? I noticed the brewers/cubs event, but that seems to be more of a meet and then eat at the game.

Let me know

Mad City Minis are getting a event together in Gays Mills area, I'm thinking of going there. The event is focused around the Apple Festival. The roads in the area are GREAT! If no driving is planned I do know a few roads around Wildcat Mountain, Hillsboro and Wonewoc area that would be a nice drive but long.

Fall Drive

Hi,

I'll have to go look up the Madison group. Thanks for the information. I did a good amount to the mini this summer and would like to see how the handling is now, before I put the winter rims/tires on.

Fall Drive

Is Wildcat Mountain the place that the Madison group went to last year? If it is, that was the first drive I did with the mini. I had just picked it up two weeks prior to that. That was a fun drive, but really long.

Yea, some of the Milwaukee MINI group met in Delafield drove to Middleton and met the MadCity Mini group. We then made our way up to Spring Green, Wildcat Mountain, Hillsboro, Wonewoc, LaValle, Lake Redstone, Ironton, Baraboo, and went across the Wisconsin River via the Ferry . It was a long drive, but a real good drive! I am somewhat familiar with that area, as I grew up there. Now 30 some years later, I only visit the area but still know a few of the roads.

We would love to do a drive/weekend up to Door County if anyone is interested.....

We haven't been there since 06 (Mini Honeymoon before Europe) and would love to go back.

Hello MM! Just a FYI our British car club in the Fox Valley is doing a breakfast and fall drive this Saturday Oct 9th to the Kettle Moraine and if your up to it we would love to have you join us. We are a social group and welcome all British cars old and new. Hope to see you this weekend- Matt 03 BRG S

We are meeting at the Rolling Meadows Restaurant @ 9:30 at the corner of Hwy 41 and Military Rd. (Exit 99, Cty Rd. D, old Hwy 151) Fond Du Lac for breakfast followed by a short tour of Tim Murphy's shop and Triumph sports cars. It’s about a ½ hour to the Kettle Moraine from the shop and then about an hour through the Kettle Moraine area with a lunch stop after the tour. Thanks to Tim and his son Ryan for one of the last tours of the year- looks like great weather and at peak color! If you need more info on the club or the event please call Jim @ 920-378-3515

Just curious if the event took place and how it went? I'm a new owner of a 2011 Cooper S hardtop - hot chocolate with white roof. I live in Germantown and work downtown so I'll watch on the roadway for all of you!

Congrats GrownMINI on your new MINI! Hopefully there will be a drive before the snow begins. If there are no organized drives just enjoy the roads around the Holly Hill area. I had a terrific run there this last weekend, sadly it is more fun with a group of MINIs, but one does what one needs to.

Thanks! Hee-hee...I was just there on Saturday afternoon. You can see one of the roads in my gallery photo. Somewhere around Holy Hill (Emerald, Donegal? not sure.) I actually got a little lost but it was the most fun being lost I've had in a long time.

The drive was great- weather could not of been better! It was one of those days that the leaves were kicking up as you went down the road and made for some nice photos.

it would be great if we could get a few people together for a run on the weekend around Holy Hill or in the Kettles. I live in Delafiled so I am pretty close to a lot of great roads. I had a great run on Saturday around Ottawa Lake and Waterville road.
