Question on Amp Installation

I finally ordered the last part of my audio upgrade, an Alpine PDX4.100 amp. Unfortunately I'm having a very hard time figuring out how to install it. Keep in mind this is a 2004 R50 with a basic non h/k stereo.

What I have installed:
Alpine IDA-X305 Headunit

What I have to install:
•(1) Pair Polk DB6501 Components
•(1) Pair Elemental Design e3.6 6.5" Subwoofers

My current plan is to mount the amp behind the right rear panel, where the factory H/K amp usually resides.

I know that I could probably get better sound running new speaker wire, but if I could avoid this step and just use the factory wiring I would prefer to go in that direction. I've been using This Build as reference, but I don't quite follow his explanation on how he utilized the stock wiring. If anyone could shed some light on this, I'd be greatly appreciative.

Hey there...
I've got an x305 too... You like it?
I just went through a major audio upgrade and have an Amp left over...

Alpine KTP-445 Power Pack
plug-and-play compact Class D amplifier for Alpine in-dash receivers
4-channel amplifier
45 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (CEA-2006 compliant)
I put that under the dash under the glove box. The connection plugs right into the head unit. Easy. No cables to cut or run. Now it's on a shelf. I'll sell if you need?

What amp are you using? I bought a JL XD600/6 and mounted it under the driver's seat. There's a hole there that makes for a perfect fit with the top under a grate to let it breathe.

I love the IDA-X305, i don't use cd's and it integrates seamlessly with my iphone 3GS. I wish the color matched a little better, but I'll take function over form any day.

Thanks for the offer, but I've already ordered an Alpine PDX-4.100 amp. It's 4x100 rms, regardless if it's 4ohm or 2 ohm, plus it's tiny. Installing it under the seat is an option, but I was hoping to avoid having to cut up too much of the interior. Thats why I'd prefer to install it where the H/K amp usually is.

I did forget to mention that I already have a 12" sub with an 800 watt Pioneer mono amp. Would I need a distribution block if I need to power two separate amps?
