Toyo - Tires ??

I've been "tire shopping" and was checking out a set of Toyo's (215-45-R17)
I just wanted to know if anybody here has used these tires and can tell me how did they feel, handle, noise, etc.
The quote I got was $550.00 for the set of four including installation, balance and sales tax. Tires over here in Puerto Rico are a little more expensive than in the mainland. I was also checking out the Bridgestone Potenza's for a little more money so I'm not 100% sure which way to go.
Please let me know what you think...
Thank's Guys!!

I have not read great things about the Proxes 4. I previously used the Toyo T1R which I thought was a great tire and only a slightly lower treadwear rating than the Proxes 4 (300 vs 280). Thus I went with the T1R over the Proxes 4.

Last month when I purchased tires they said the Toyo T1R had been discontinued so I switched to the Hankook Ventus V12 which has received good ratings in many tire tests such as Car & Driver and Grassroots Motorsports.

Thus, you might want to checkout the Hankook Ventus V12 ($93 each at Tire Rack) instead of the Toyo Proxes 4.

I remember that article in C&D--I bought Falken Azenis just before it came out, as an everyday summer tire. Had I seen it first, I'd have bought the Hankook's instead. I love the Azenis, but the Hankook's got great reviews, and are at a darned good price point. I've seen less than stellar reviews of the Toyo's (although they weren't in the C&D review), and those were never a consideration. The Toyo track tires are another story though.

Here is the link to the Car and Driver article:

I have driven a few R53s with Proxes 4 and they are alright. They are pretty quiet even when worn. They are a decent all season tires but not really that impressive. If you don't drive aggressively they are alright. Toyo does seem to discontinue there models of tires rather quickly these days

Toyo Tires

Thank's guys, you have given me a couple of options to consider but I have to see if the brands you all mention are available here in Puerto Rico.
Any feedback on the S-Drive by Yokohama??

I have not used the s.drive. I did see many cars with s.drive tires during the Mini Takes The States (MTTS) event. People seem to be happy with the tires.

The Proxes 4 are an All-Season tire. Do you need an all-season tire? The Hankook V12 and Yoko s.drive tires are summer tires not really designed for very cold or snow. They will work well in the rain. However, I did just drive my Hankook V12 tires through a few miles of snow on the way back from MTTS and I survived.

Quikmni! I couldn't wait any longer, "threads" were starting to show on my run-flats so I went with the Yokohama S-Drive. Concerning the wheather, I live in Puerto Rico and its summer all year long, so I'm good there. Let me tell you, compared to my run-flats these tires are great, the ride is so much smoother, quieter, responsive, you name it, they feel really good.
Thank's for your quick responses...

Glad you got some new tires. I suspect you will like the tires. As you said they will be much better than the runflats.
