I'm looking to change my H Sport springs back to stock springs and someone is willing to trade me their 04' MCS with JCW engine coil springs for my 03' MCS H - Sport springs. Will this work???

I'm needing to change the springs soon before I get back to school. The lowered MINI isn't good for the roads that I am facing day to day.

You might want to verify that the 04 MCS JCW does not have the JCW suspension option springs and that it has the normal stock springs (black). The JCW springs are red and are about 5/8" shorter than stock springs. Thus, you may not get much of a change from H-Sport to JCW springs.

 

There are six different spring rates for cars of your vintage, based upon what options your car had from the factory. There are color marks on the springs to help identify which spring rates they are. You can get away with the 'wrong' springs for your option set, but be sure that your stock springs are all from the same set.

 

Yes the 04' MCS only has the JCW engine but not the springs. The springs are normal stock springs. I just wanted to get more info because I know that MINI matches your springs to the VIN# on your car.
