I am new to the Mini Cooper as I just picked up a 2005 this week. After a 15 year retirement from Autocross with our EP 85 CRX we are returning to SCCA (New England Region) D stock in our Mini Cooper. Since I have been out of the autocross world it seems that the stock class tires have changed to Hoosier A6 or Kumho V710. My question is which works better on the Mini and will I get a full season out of either of them? Also, I think the 2005 cars came with either 16" or 17" wheels, which is the preferred size for a D stock Cooper? Lastly, what is the hot wheel to use? I found some postings on the Rota Slip Stream, any opinions?
