Reasons to purchase MINI

Been eyeing this 2007 Sparkling Silver MCS for weeks and I want to trade in the Magnum and get the MINI but, and guys, we've all been through this...the wife is putting her foot down.

I need some convincing reasons why she should let me purchase the MINI...batter up!

Get her to drive it!

Get her to drive it, it will win her over . I bought my '02 MCS about 8 months ago because my son needed a cheap car for college and he bought my '98 Buick Regal off me. My wife didn't care what I bought because I was going to be driving it. Well that didn't last long. She wanted to check it out so she drove it around town a couple times (she's real good w/ the 6 speed) and now is driving it more and more. This weekend she is going to her class reunion (out of state), she's taking the MINI and leaving me with the kids .

'02 Liquid Yellow MCS, Premiun, Sport & Cold Weather Pkgs.

My wife has been bugging me for over a year to sell my 02 BMW M3. Now that I have, she is pushing me to buy a Mini so she can give me her A4 and she can have the Mini. My problem is somewhat different since she wants the car. We might be fighting over this for awhile .

Just have her drive one. It'll be smooth sailing from there!

Good luck!!

Be a man. Tell her you are trading something in next week, either the mini or her. Lots of options out there...

No, seriously. If she is the financially wise one, it may be better to wait. If the magnum has been yours for years, you make payments that are similar to the new proposed mini payments and you use a lot of gas, it may be close(r) to a sound financial descision, but otherwise, it will cost more money. Only you (and/or your wife) can decide if that is wise.

My 2¢...

1) MINI's hold their value better & longer than anything else.
2) You'll save on fuel
3) You'll have fun and therefore be happier
4) Since you'll be happier (you choose the rest of this one)
a) you'll be in the mood more often.
b) you'll have something to occupy your time so you won't be asking her for nookie time as often.
5) You want it and you're not asking her to pay for it.

....let me know if you need me to call her for you.

I agree that you should have her drive it!
I ended up driving a Mini when my son got into a car accident. He was only 19 so they wouldn't let him drive it. I was so concerned because of safety, smallness etc. I was so nervous because it was so much smaller than my BMW. I fell in love within a day, drove it for the month til our car was repaired and was so sad to give it back. Three weeks later I bought one!!!!
