For anyone with Leather/Cloth seats...

Is the entire front part of the seat (up where your thighs/knees meet) leather, or cloth? I don't like the rough feel of the cloth against my bare legs, but I've heard the leatherette gives out sweaty backs like they're candy, even with the car completely ice-cold. I'm trying to make the decision of cloth, leatherette, or cloth/leather. Full leather isn't worth the $1500-$2000 to me...

I have always had a small piece of sheepskin on my drivers seat, so any type of seat won't bug me. I had gotten it because my last car had light colored leather and my jeans were making it blue!
My Mini has the leatherette cloth combo and I like it. You could always put a towel down and you wouldn't sweat.
Good luck!

Yeah I'm not into seat covers or anything. I just want to get in and go haha. I'm just concerned where the cloth ends and leather begins on the bottom-middle part of the seat

Did you look at the Miniusa.com website? I think the pics are pretty accurate of the seats. It's fun to go on there and build your own Mini( even if you get it at a dealer like me)

Yup, it's on the MINI site built and ready to take to a dealer. The picture of the seats shows a shiny front part, but only part of it is the Cream color, so I don't know if the front part is a combo black/cream leather, or anything black is cloth...

Ok, I looked at my seats and they are leatherette on the whole part on bottom and back, just woven on edges. Mine is 2010. Mine is pretty basic, not too many extras.
Hope that helps

I'm assuming you're talking about the leatherette seat trim. I'm looking at getting the leather/cloth combo..it's just that, a combo of leather and cloth, with a color trim. Used to be a $1000 option, may be more with the way 2011s are shaping up, but in the past, it was $1000 for the seats/color line/dash trim. Came in Cream, Red, and HC

The red is leather, the black cloth. Cloth doesn't feel particularly rough to me, but to each his (or her) own.

Ah, so anything black in that picture is cloth. Dangit. Idunno, when I sat in them the other day, I felt that the cloth had a much rougher feel than the leatherette. I don't like the sweat-machine the leatherette seems to become to people on here, and I can't afford full leather. Arg. Maybe I should just go cloth and hope it softens up with use.

I have leather interior -- the Carbon Black Punch Leather to be exact and it feels amazing. The holes / perforation in the leather allows it to breathe. I am 6'4 and 250, not a small guy at all -- I sweat easy, but these seat are amazing -- and we have had some days recently where it has been over 100 degrees.
