Thanks I had fun doing this one. Next up may be the annual city drive. I need to check out some of the roads again. I know at least 6 blocks were torn up since I created it. I also have a Horribly Hilly mapped out for one of our Fall drives.
We would have been there, but our Mastiff ended up busting his screen, escaping the house and tearing up the side french doors in his attempt to get in. So....
My Saturday and Sunday were both spent fixing the doors and remodeling the bathroom. :(
I would have much rather been out and about with the Wifey and the Mini.

We started the ride at MINI of Madison dealer. I'm not sure what they think about a bunch of MINI's bought elsewhere rollin' up on their turf but the folks are mighty pleasant and the fresh ground coffee is surprisingly good.

The butterflies were out in force, and not just in our bellies from the hairy curves. Clouds of light green butterflies danced in dusty lanes... as we repeatedly punched right through them.

After a short warmup run, we arrived at our first destination, the New Glarus Brewing Company.

Having grown a bit tired of Spotted Cow, I opted to sample a surprisingly refreshing Stone Soup. Now this is a clean summertime beer! I'd rather drink this while working outdoors than the Cow (whose aftertaste tends to sour my stomach after awhile).
The Caravan o' Madness took a brief break at Gravity Hill. A funhouse sort of spot, we all enjoyed our turn of riding in cars rolling backwards uphill.
After a bit of a break, it was on to the Potosi Brewing Company. I had read how impressive this site is and I was not disappointed -- wow, this place is also really nice! Onsite museum and a decent restaurant set in the heart of a shady grotto. My Oatmeal Stout was *very* tasty. Definitely going to be coming back here again.

At that point, three of the MINI's had needed to get back to Madison, so off we went! Blasting through the heath, we eventually found civilization (such as it is in formerly farmers' crossroads turned college towns) and then Italian Job'd our way back home. Very decent day.
