phone will forget to pair with car

I have an old iPhone 3G.
The phone worked with the car flawlessly. Then I downgraded the software on the phone, because the updates slowed my phone down way too much.

When I did that the phone didn't pair with the car. So I had to re-paired it. It worked, that was about a week ago. Then today I tried to make a call and realized that the phone wasn't paired again? I'm going to pair the phone with the car tomorrow morning.

Is anybody having this issue? Why would the phone forget to pair with the car?

Thanks.

Well there are tow different situations that could be happening here.

1. the paring is lost - very unlikely but is possible.

2. connection is not auto connecting when the car is started. This can be and is an issue with a lot of people in the begining as the phone is not set ot automatically accept the connection from the MINI. Not sure how this is done on a iPhone but someone here should be able to tell you.

what i end up doing to bring the phone back, is to delete the profile and then re-setup the phone. hopefully it won't happen again!

Have you actually tried as there are many more phone that work with the MINI than MINI has had tested. The MINI list is a total joke as many of the phone on it in the past were discontinued phones.

Check this list, it is the most complete list and has resolutions for many phones that do not work or are inconsistent, as many times a change of software in the phone helps.
