Cam suggestions

I'm in the process now of rebuilding a 1098 and I'd like to upgrade the cam. I'm not looking for racing performance.... more of a "mild" upgrade that will increase the mid range torque. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Andy

I'm sure others will post here, but a 266 cam is a very typical swap in the classics. It gives very good street performance and still allows the engine to idle well. I have a 266 cam in my 1275 and really like it.

try and find a 731 cam profile as this was a popular cam choice in the 60s for 1000cc engines..........

The stock Cooper S cam works well in an 1100 motor. That's what I used in 82' when I rebuilt mine. AEG-510 I believe.
