Driving the Blue Ridge Parkway - thanks Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club!

My wife and I were visiting my brother in Boone NC last week. One morning we got up early to take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We pulled off at various outlooks to take in the beautiful mountain scenery. At one of these outlooks we happened on this sign. I was delighted to see that the Tar Heel MINI Motoring club was largely responsible for replacing the platform decking to provide safe access to the granite outcrop previously closed to visitors. (their names are the long column of names the 2nd from the right).

It really made my day to see that MINI people are being good citizens and helping preserve these national treasures.

Thanks guys!

Thanks for sharing. I always say MINI people are great people (except we don't share our cars very well). Thanks for doing your part!

Though I wasn't aware of any of this, that is really cool.

Kudos to you guys...

Hey signcarver no pictures? With all that scenery you must have shot a few. How about putting up a couple?

Go ahead with the pics, just the camera phone discaimer will do. I have only driven that road once 20 years ago, so a little reminder would be appreciated
