Does anyone know what's involved in changing a 06 MCSJCW from a center console speedo to the complete chrono package?

1. Is it simply a matter of removing of the old and then plug an play on the chrono package i.e. are there pigtails on the standard wiring harness for a chrono option?

2. If so, anybody know a source for a good used chrono package.

Seems from reading some have the chrono package and wish they didn't and that other have made the swap I am referring to.

There would be a lot involved, worse if you took one off.

Maybe just add the three gauges. Oil temp, pressure and water temp...you will be good to go. They have 4 gauge pods so you can add boost or something else.

My 04 has outside temp or MPH in the tach *press button on turn stalk, I don't know about 06 though.

 

The gauge units are plug compatible. The Chrono simply reads everything off the data bus and doesn't require extra wiring or sensors. You would also need dealer programming. However, the problem is that you might need new gauges ($$$$) because used gauges cannot be recoded to your car (VIN specific).
