MINI key look alike USB

Does anyone actually have one of these USB Mini Keys? Can you please tell us if it will actually fit the USB port beneath the MINI radio? It looks as though there is not enough room at the USB Key Port to fit? I emailed a dealer and he said "dunno! but the car comes with a cable to connect the USB drive anyway!"....which in itself is wrong. SO........is there room? or not?

Thanks Philip

I bought one to put my mp3 on for my r56. I use a usb stick and they work great so a mini key would be kind of cool for the tunes on the car. I just tried it and it does not fit I am pissed so it is going back. I cant believe they would make this and have it not fit all they needed to do is make it a little longer.

That's what I was afraid of that it wasn't going to be long enough....back to plan A ....put a USB stick into a toy mini...there's some commercial ones available but I'm not paying $60 a pop!

Simply use a little extension cable like what is available in Best Buy.

Well for me I was trying to keep from having all kinds of cords all over the place. going to a small stubby stick. just thought the usb that looked like the key would just be kind of different.

Exactly the same here! Why would you design something that people would obviously want to use in their MINI and make it to short? Yeah I could get wires but "I don't want no stinking wires!"

where is the 'this thread is useless without pics' smiley anyway?

are you talking about a USB flash drive that is in the shape of a MINI key? or just in the shape of a MINI?

Maybe I am just lost...
