New MCS or new Factory JCW?!

Ok I sold my mini cooper s because Im going to be shipping out to basic training soon....

Ive found that I miss this car way too much and as soon as I am able to purchase a car again, Im going to get another one. It was just too much fun.

The question is, should I get a MCS or opt for the JCW? The price difference is pretty considerable, so Im wondering which route to go. I'd like to modify the car, nothing terribly drastic as far as engine mods, just basic bolt ons. Id rather put the bulk of my mod money into the suspension and a nice set of wheels and tires.

I realize the factory JCW is one hell of a performer out of the box. The upgrades to the engine are what Im really after. The strengthened internals mostly! Im just torn whether i should get the mcs and mod it some, or go for the JCW....

anyone made this choice already? any opinions? is the JCW WORTH IT!?!??!

One word....YES

My last mini was an '08 mcsa with the jcw stage I kit. I loved the car but soon realized the automatic wasn't working for me on the track.

I decided that if I was going to trade up, I'd get a JCW from the factory.

I have NOTHING against an MCS, i just think the upgrade is something I would do again. IMO, it was well worth it. (not something I would have thought while I owned the MCS)

It is cool to have a JCW but before anyone ('cause it will happen) calls me a JCW snob, the bottom line, the power is worth it if you like the extra power.

First let me say thank you for choosing to serve our country. Second, what about a used JCW?
