We have a US spec 2006 Mini Cooper S built in December 2005 - had it built while in England. Anyway, we have what is called the "parklane" black leather interior. It's really nice, and I have to also say quite unique. Now we bought it through the Parklane dealer, which could be found in London and outside RAF Lakenheath. I was wondering - has anyone seen this option? Has anyone seen a US spec Mini with it? I love that Mini has these unique changes that make them all so easy to personalize - but we may have lucked out on the one offs.

I would argue that if it is the only US Spec 2006 pepper white Mini Cooper S to be equipped with the Parklane interior option because we were stationed in the UK at the time of ordering that it would make our Mini quite unique. Of course it wouldn't be unique if it were a factory option - but it would be if they were only going to offer it to UK customers and we selected it because we just happened to be there and we had to go through the UK dealer to order it.
It's an option when configuring a 'new' car on miniusa... Looks a bit too British to me as it reminds me of all the old MG's and Triumphs I drove forever...

Each to his own but in my opinion the British influence on a vehicle just quietly wispers "upper crust".
