Does Rear sunroof open?

I recently purchased a '05 Cooper S and I can't find out if the rear sunroof opens? My car didn't come with an owners manual and my search on the fourm hasn't resulted anything so I'm resorting to a NOOB call for help. I saw a newer ('09 or '10) Mini driving down the road with the rear sunroof tilted up and I have to believe mine can do it. Tell me I'm not wrong!

Nope....to my knowledge it's a moonroof like mine. Doesn't even pop.

Was sure nice of them to put a shade screen there to mess with your head tho huh.

By the way....if you are a DIY person, this site is the best and so is the Bentley Publishers Mini Cooper Service Manual.

1st-gen MINIs rear sunroof glass is fixed. Only 2nd-gen MINIs rear glass pops up, and it goes back down when you roll the front glass back.

Seriously. The first non helper jack@*** I have encountered here. I guess there really IS a first for everything. Prolly owns a turbo. (not that it's a bad thing, just commenting on his/her own car.)

I am equal opportunity MINI lover anyhow.

Waiting for the smart *** reply of "you can just kick the window hard and out it comes" or some other lame answer.

So Mr.Helpful, how DO you open the rear panorama roof in an 05?

You can use a Hammer from the inside, just swing it at the center of the glass, and it will pop up.

Yeah. Don't do that. Just had to appeal Hockeyman >.> Gen 1 rear roof doesn't open, I like it that way. one less thing to leak.

nah need my s/c whine. I am not equal opportunity. I love my '53, want nothing to do with the '56.

This IS a forum on the interwebs - it wouldn't be a proper noob thread without a reference to blinker fluid. Doesn't have to be all serious, all the time, sheesh.

So with DDM Works, you're running the Silicone tube, Cold air intake w/ uni filter or the K&N?
I notice that the tube & filter / box are sold separately.
