I really enjoyed the after-lunch sessions when the MINIs ran with the Lotus Elise's and Exige's.
A few weeks ago, I stopped by Ferrari Denver and it was mentioned that Bill S. plans on bringing a few Ferrari's out. I suspect the Lamborghini folks will be out too.
I plan on being at track early then leave early after lunch or I may hang until 4:30 of so.

Track Days
Do you know if we can run the whole track or just the partial track at High Plains Raceway?
Trending Topics
We will be running the whole track, as they did last year.
Limited passing on the straightaways with a point by.
Some of the groups might have a pace car.
I am trying to get the MINIs grouped with the Lotus folks, so we can have some spirited laps.

Wed. bump. We are getting some interest, should be fun.
Looks to be about 6 MINIs who have requested entry information, I hope everyone has sent the packet to John Arnold of the Lotus Club.

We have had a little more late interest. I will try to go back through my emails and see if I can do an interest list.

I am not going to be able to make this event. Working five 12 hour days plus a few 1/2 Saturdays.... Adding 1 more thing in to this week is 1 too much right now.
I am anxious to see pics & hear all about the fun though!

The Byers General store runs the concession, they have a good variety and some good sandwiches and breakfast burritos.
I think they will be open on Sunday since it is the open season for track rats.

Don
For those of us that are spectating.
I think we should meet at the Starbucks at I-70 and Tower around 8 or 8:30. Any takers?

I'll bring some sodas for anyone that's interested. It's not a huge cooler but I can manage.

I will bring my air tank full up, so if someone needs to top up the tires.
Bring and air gauge and whatever you might need in simple tools.
Bring a chair, bring shade if you have it. Big hat and water.
If you have a spare set of front pads even older ones, bring them. You never know, but I don't think anyone wants to change pads in the sun.
I am not bringing my heavy jack, so I hope someone has a light weight one they are tossing into the MINI.
Hopefully we will have a canopy or two at the track and possibly a trailer if everything works out right.
I hope noone has any major mechanical and we all drive home at end of day.

Don
If worse comes to worse, you can borrow a spare from me. If I'm not using it.
Remember to top off your brake fluid if your not changing it out for newer/better fluids. I run the MINI brake fluid on low-key lapping days, no problems, but I keep the reservoir full to the line.
Check out the events area of the lotus Colorado website for an update to the daily schedule.

Btw, I will be bringing a 17 inch spare, but I will be running my 16s. I am off to swap wheels, brakes and tires at U's shop.
Should be a fun filled day.
