Clever ways to add A2DP?

Has anyone found a clean way to add A2DP without the use of an FM Transmitter?

I know there are a couple of A2DP "gateways" on the market, the Blackberry version seemingly the most popular, so I wonder if anyone has tried it out?

Thanks!

My friend's mazda does this. I would really like to find a solution for my mini to do it.

It's my biggest complaint with my new car. 2010 and no A2DP is a bit of a shame for a car with the target demographic of the MINI.

My renal car this week has A2DP!! (Ford Sync)

I have used the "Blackberry Stereo Bluetooth Gateway" in my car to do A2DP with out problems.

The only problem I found was that at times (occasionally, not all the time) the USB cable needed to be unplugged to be able to set the radio to AUX. A quick USB unplug and set to AUX then plug back in then USB and it would work great.

Do you have any pics? I'd love to see how "messy" it is.

One other bummer is the inability to use the stereo's integrated phone functions. I don't think my iphone can connect to two blue tooth devices reliably.

[quote=karmavore;3054507]Do you have any pics? I'd love to see how "messy" it is.[/quuote] unfortunately I do not. But I had taken the USB and AUX sire and stuffed them up behind the side panel and had the gate way sitting at the bottom cubby hole of the center console just below the switches. Had though of double stick taping it to the top of the cubby hole but then went a completely different direction with the music system in the car.

Not sure with your phone but it worked great with my Blackberry 8330 Curve. The BB would mute and pause the music, ring and work great thru the bluetooth in the car.

What phone do you have?

The BB Gateway does not work with some other manufacturers phones either.
