My nice weekend w/ photos of Clown's new wheels.
I had a blast with the car this past Saturday and I got to see both of my favorite and possible future cars, the Lotus Elise and the Porsche Cayman S.
I went from the Brit Fest car show in Ledgewood, to the Franklin Mineral Museum, to High Point state park, on to some curvy as hell back roads in Sussex County. I must say I love my new tires and so did the owner of the Green Lotus Elise I parked next to. The Green Lotus fellow was a swell guy and he is about to sell it as he now has a new family member. I wish I had the money to purchase another car and pay for its insurance but I'm not going to be there for quite a while. If I did get an Elise it would be that very lime green color. He was also telling me that its his only car and that he actually drives it in the snow with snow tires. I had no idea a feat like that was possible with this car. I find that quite impressive.
Just today I found this Elise blog while, apparently the body shell is all fibre glass like the corvette, I never knew: http://www.lotuseliseblog.com/ I wonder if the Cayman S is the same way or if its sheet metal like the MINI?
Anyway on the the massive photos:
